This is something I would like to start doing, possible spotlights on members of the Tribe. So my first installment of this is of DK.

DK is a drifter, one of the most hardcore drivers I’ve seen in a long time. He’s ALWAYS out drifting, wherever it be, at Adams, Inland, or at events like Ziptied All Star Bash!

DK drives a second-generation Mazda RX-7 ( FC3s platform ), rocking full BN sports aero ( when it isn’t knocked off, that is! ). With a turbo’d 13B, this car is quite insane.

This car even looks rad when it’s aero is off!

A mix of a great driver, awesome looking car, and the amazing sound of a rotary, things just don’t get much better.

As I’ve said, this car is by no means hardparked.

Oh, and it spits fire.

So look out for DK drifting near you! Keep up the good stuff man!

Ziptied All Star Bash 2009!

So this past weekend was the infamous Ziptied All Star Bash at Willow Springs International Raceway! The event of sexy cars, awesome drifting, hot sun, and good people. This was my first time going to a All Star Bash, and I’m already looking forward to the next. Teams like Risky Devil from Chicago and Team Instant Party from Washington came out to have some fun in the sun. I met alot of great people, hung out with friends, stood in the sun, went on a hat hunting adventure, weekend was full of win.

Anyway, enough of my blabbering, here’s what everyone wants, PICTURES!

Glendale Cruise Night 2009!

The city of Glendale’s Cruz night came back around again on 7/18/09! The show was absolutely massive, from the amount of cars, people, and noise. The show closed down Brand St. from the freeway almost to Glendale Americana! Check out the pictures.

Chillin’ in the Attic…

If your a clothing freak/sneaker head, you probably know what the Attic is. If not, The Attic is a streetwear/sneaker store in Buena Park, California. Across the street from the famous Knott’s Berry Farm Amusement Park.

On the 4th of July, the Attic held one of their huge sales, so I decided to go, maybe pick up some shit and check out the cars.

One of the cars that caught my eye wasn’t even in the so called ” show “, just a 2nd gen GS300 sitting on some Leon Harditt’s, can’t complain with that.

A couple Z33s showed up, me being a Z car fan, these were definitely the best of the ” show ”

To all you sneaker fans, there was this EG Civic sitting real low on some Work Meisters ( Surprising to see a legit set of wheels on a Civic. ) done up in full Air Jordan Aqua colourway.

Greet and Eat 6/25/09

So, today was my first time going to the VRT Greet and Eat, and it was pretty damn fun. It was great meeting everyone that came out, and my bad if I was a bit quiet ya’ll. But anyway, so like I was saying, my first time comin’ out to the Greet and Eat, when I first pulled in at 9:30 or so I was like, hmmm… no one’s here. Drove through the parking lot and saw the two lone VW guys ( ha! ) and just chilled. Saw Kyle and Eddie pull up so I went out to go say whats up. Then more people came, yeah, so basically to sum it all night, just sat there, chilled, ate, listened to everyone say some funny ass shit, laughed. That sums the night up pretty much! Onto the picturesssss!

OH, I forgot. There was this guy that pulled up in this little Hyundai shitbox thing and had the most gnarly pony tail ever, all twisted and shit. I took a picture but then thought to myself it’s pretty gay to take pictures of random guys, so I deleted it.

HellaFlush X Venice Beach 2009!

Ohh Hellaflush, best known as a NorCal/Fatlace thing, many of us SoCal car guys were just waiting for a HellaFlush meet. We finally got it, on May 16th, 2009. Many car enthusiasts met right on the beach in Venice Beach, California! I myself, was very excited, even with my car being FAR from flush, I was very excited to bring my car. Just driving through the event I was amazing by some of the cars, just hoping someday my car will be sittin’ as low, as flush as some of the cars surrounding me. All I could think of was, ” soon. “. So with my camera ready, I went out to go shoot some pictures! Here are some of the many I took.

Spocom 6/14/09

SPOCOM has come to the Long Beach Convention center, now me, never been to a Spocom, was kind of hesitant at first to spend twenty dollars of my own money to go to this show. But, it was worth a shot, and wow, was it worth it. Many great cars, vendors, and dance crews came out for the show. NOS energy drink was out there giving free samples ( I normally don’t drink energy drinks, but I mean, it was free. You gotta love free stuff. ) There were cars ranging to full built track cars, such as Justin Pawlak’s new RX8, to full blown show cars like alot of the Scions that were there today, complete with TV’s in the taillights ( I see no purpose what-so-ever in that, but each to his own. ) So enough of my blabbering, here’s some pictures.

D1GP Anaheim

After a long awaited return, D1GP has finally comeback to the US! Making their first stop at Anaheim Stadium! Overall, it was a pretty good event, other from the douchebag announcer that didn’t know anything, and that many japanese drivers were missing. Congrats to Daigo Saito in his Chaser for winning the first round!

This AE86 was a particular favourite of mine at the event.

Out of the small number of Japanese drivers, Ueno came out, and I was very impressed with his driving. I might be a bit biased because I have a thing for Soarers.

I was really diggin’ Ross Petty’s new S15.

Forrest Wang was driving amazing, I was diggin’ his S13 with a Kouki S14 front end too.

We even had some of the go-kart guys from Adams Kart Track come out and do a exhibition, this guy would come around the corner sideways and hit the white, powdery shit on the track and hit me with all the solid parts that didn’t get crushed.

Congrats one more time to Daigo Saito for winning D1GP Round 1!
