Simone Finally Gets Painted

It’s Sunday, brother decided he was going to paint the car today and be done with it. It was a long ass day, got to the shop around 12:30pm and left at about 10:26pm.
We had the shop to ourselves.
This was a good thing, and a bad thing. To get my car into the space you see below, we had to move an impala out of the other side of the shop, move the ‘53 Bel Air from this paint booth into the space the impala was in.
But first.

we had to move this black car, which we spent almost an hour trying to figure out how to push it. (the rear tires were locked, but the car wasn’t in gear and the brake was down.)

After Priming the car, and then wet sanding it my brother advised that I am to wipe it down with this stuff, which we also rubbed the car down with prior to priming it.

Basically he put two more half quarts of paint on the car after fixing this paint run, I had to jam(leave). And the car as of this post has been clear coated. He’s going to paint the core support separately, and most likely tow the car back to his house tomorrow so he can color sand it, cut and buff it.

The Aero (vertex lang kit, ganadors, door handles, roof wing) were painted separately from the car and is already clear coated and ready to go, some touch up’s have to be done to the bumpers. (my brother scratched them taking them back to his place.) And then it’s a matter of “legalizing” the car to get it back on the road.

I hope that you’re as excited as I am.

    Simone needs to SCHMONNE

I wish I had the passion to mod 240’s still

It’s always discouraging to mod anything you don’t drive on a regular basis. Thieves, cops, the economy, etc. Are all discouraging factor to any enthusiast. My car is my daily driver, and I’m pretty firm on driving my car around and accepting the repercussions that come along with it.
