I went and saw the movie Funny People on Friday. I figured it had to be good having Adam Sandler, Seth Rogan and a bunch of other great comedians/actors in it from the whole Superbad genre. Suprisingly it only had 3 Adam Sandler movie people in it and not the whole Sandler movie cast that he usually drags around with him. Anyway the movie was really funny. Plenty of laughs were had. Seth and Adam were dropping awesome one liners usually at each others exspense and there were some good just stand up comedy scenes. Beyond all the laughs there was a pretty strong story that toward the end got a little sad but rebounded and had me happy with the movies outcome. I say its a great movie to go see with a chick not really something a group of dudes should go see together though.
Note- the movie was 2.5 hours long so pee before hand.
Went to see Bruno cause the girl wanted to see it yesterday. Can I just tell you guys it was the worst movie ever in the existance of movies. I laughed a total of 4 times and not even a laugh a minor “oh thats supposed to be funny is should probly chuckle here”. The few funny parts the movie does have are buried in some of the most repulsive homosexual content i have even been forced to watch in a movie. It made me really want to punch Sasha Baron Cohen in the face. The entire time this movie was going on I was considering leaving and getting my money back. This movie tried way way to hard to push the envelope that there was no movie just scene after scene of shit you didn’t want to see. I mean come on no heterosexual male wants to see a dude getting fucked in the ass with a dildo mounted to an excersize bike. I was disgusted.
And now on to the chick flick. I went into this movie sort of interested but fearful that it was a full out chick flick about dating and love and shit. You guys know what I’m talking about a movie that is made to look cool and funny but you get into it and it makes no sense cause it was directed and produced by two women bleeding out of their vaginas everywhere. It wasn’t the later however. The movie had plenty of good moments in it minus the obligitory half naked man shots. It seems chick flicks are getting like our dude flicks with showing skin for its target audience. Katherine Heigl was hot so I enjoyed watching her through out the movie and there were some really funny parts in it. I would have to say that this would be my movie choice of the week if you wanted to bring a chick to the movies and see action afterwards. Hot guys for her, hot girls for you and a decent story lead to everyone walking out cheerful and a little amorous.
Now I am looking forward to District 9

What is it with male frontal nudity in movies lately. Honestly every girl i have ever talked has said I love dicks but they are ugly and not something I really want to see or look at. So why is it necessary to put that shit on the big screen
Because some dykes are probably pulling the sexist card to the film people saying there are tons more chics baring naked than dudes, so they have to throw some dongs in or some shit.
I don’t know, but sometimes a very very brief dong moment could make a scene funnier, like the scene at the beginning of Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Good movie review. I’m glad I didn’t go and watch Bruno. I’m just gonna watch it in the dollar theater.
Funny people was really good. It was a lot darker than I expected it to be. The GF wants to watch the Ugly Truth. haha.
