The day started out for me at 4:45 am after a long day of drinking and celebrating the 4th of July. I think maybe i got 20 minutes of sleep that night. I doubt i even got that however. Well I met up with Sam and his Girlfriend at 5:30 on the dot. Found that someone had puked on the side of my car the night before. cool. We promptly left for AIS (Adirondack International Speedawy) at 5:45. And so it begins.
It was a long drive to the track. I hitched a ride in the back of a quad cab pick up. No sleeping was to be had. By then it was 7:20 and i was 2 monster energy drinks deep.
We arrived a bit early. Apparently we weren’t allowed to run till noon and it was 9:30am. So all the drivers tinkered with their cars at the infeild for a while. I snuck around and got some cool hard parking shots.
As the day went on and the sun beat down on us, lots of fun was had. Some hard work to. Most of the SR owners were having trouble with overheating. But fun was had by all.
Mid way through the day we sent the girls to get subs in town and the guys took the chance to change some tires. They brought their own manual mounter with them. It wasn’t that bad to use.
Then it was time to get back to business till the sun went down. Lots of tires destroyed. Lots of good runs, some dirt drops, some tire explosions, good times. Great people.
It was a great time all around. I had a ton of fun even with being up for like 36 hours straight. For the rest of the images from the day check out my blog here: http://srsbzns.wordpress.com

Until next time.

no pics of the home made tire mount prop =(
It was just a really old manual tire machine. One of the guys bought it from a shop for cheap. lay the rim on the ground pull this lever down to break the bead, pick the rim up camp it in lower the center arm thing and and use a pry bar and that arm as a lever to remove the tire. Kinda same to put a new tire on.
tough work but allowed them to drift from noon to 7 almost non-stop. I’ll see if i can get a pic of it on AUG 14th
wow looks like you guys had a blast!
Happy to see the east coast scene coming together. Will have to hit you guys up once I get something slide worthy. Can’t slide a underpowered AWD
Drift Hustle plans to host an event at AIS sometime in August. Sort of like an end of the summer bash. Its a great track. Much better than the set up at LVDrift (which has another event coming up on august 14th)
Dope, I miss driving local fun events
