Violent Running

Within three days, the Dk Garage has flipped two of the most famous VRT cars completely. What gave Kyle’s s13 and Dk’s fc ‘character’ is now all covered with fresh layers of nice paint. Although, there were some unfortunate events that impeded the completion of Kyle’s car.

The story began when Kyle and I headed to Dk’s house to complete sanding, priming, and painting his car. The aero was painted the day before because Dk’s air compressor is finicky and doesn’t do well when ran for long periods of time. Kyle didn’t see his aero the day before because he had to leave for work. When we showed up to Dk’s, Kyle got all excited and started to piece his ‘invisible car.’

So all went well, we were able to bondo the places to be bondo’ed and wet sanded the whole car. Dk went on to painting the car. In the middle of the spraying, Jameson and Marco showed up for morale support. Dk was able to get most of Kyle’s car done, but a cop apparently was answering a call from one of Dk’s neighbors. Dk wasn’t able to finish the passenger side of Kyle’s car or Kyle’s hood. The car was all one color, it was just that the car didn’t have enough coats of paint on them; the hood’s thin spots were very noticeable. So the cop informs us that what Dk was doing was illegal and the fine was so large he ‘didn’t even know how much it was.’ The cop “never cited anyone for painting a car in a residential area” and “[had] better things to do than cite [Dk].” So we stopped painting and everyone was pretty bummed at this point. The cop started bitching about Marco and Jameson’s cars not having rear bumpers. He told Marco and Jameson just to get going because he didn’t “want to come back here again.” So Marco was able to escape but the cop must have seen Jameson’s extension paper and told him to hold up instead. So being the hypocritical pig the cop was, he decided to impound Jameson’s car. Apparently Jameson’s registration was overdue by a few days.

After the cop took his sweet ass time doing paper work the cop called a tow truck.

Off went Jameson’s car to the yard…

While Jameson was running around with Dk to the police station to get the release etc. Kyle and I pulled Kyle’s car out to get some sun and dry a little.

After Kyle’s car dried a little, we threw on the aero.

Dk and Jameson came back eventually very sad-like. Jameson didn’t have enough money to get his car out of the impound because the bank was closed, but he was able to pay for the release.

Then we decided to be rebels and finished painting the hood so the car was at least all one color. Luckily we were able to finish the hood without the neighbors calling on us again. We then fit the hood on the car and snapped some pictures.

After the car was finished we had to think of a plan to get Jameson’s car out, and being such a good guy Kyle is, he lent Jameson the money needed to get it out.

A fucked-filled day.
